Safeguard your feline friend from harmful diseases with a vaccination plan.
Time flies when you’re having fun with your feline friend. But you can have many more playful days if you protect them from harmful diseases by getting them vaccinated. Vaccines help build your cat’s immune system and prevent certain diseases that could negatively impact their health and quality of life. To schedule an appointment or to learn more about your pet’s vaccination needs, please don’t hesitate to call us at 604-986-2287.
Generally, kittens should get their first vaccines when they are about 6 to 8-weeks-old. They will continue to receive a series of vaccines until they are 4-months-old. Once they’ve received their kitten vaccines, it’s recommended that adult cats get their boosters once every year or three years depending on their lifestyle, risks and type of vaccine.
Not only do vaccines help protect your kitten or cat from harmful diseases, but they are also very safe. A small number of pets may experience mild side effects such as a fever or vomiting after they have been vaccinated but these symptoms usually clear up in a few days.
All vaccines are administered by a single injection under the skin.
