Microchipping

Microchipping is crucial for pet safety, ensuring a higher chance of reunion if they ever get lost.

Microchipping helps us return lost kitties to where they belong – with their family. Should your pet ever get lost, a microchip helps reunite them with you. When the microchip is scanned, our veterinarians would be able to contact you and reunite you with your furry friend. To get your cat microchipped, call us at 604-986-2287.

Is it safe to microchip my cat?

Microchipping is a safe and fairly painless procedure. The microchip is implanted under the skin with a needle and is placed in between their shoulder blades. Our team makes sure they are as comfortable as possible throughout. Your cat may feel a tiny pinch from the needle but it is over before they even know it.

How does the microchip work?

Once implanted, the microchip is registered into a database with a unique microchip number. Should your pet get lost, any veterinary clinic or animal shelter can scan the microchip if your pet is found and brought in. From there we can ID your pet and pull up your contact information. It’s important to make sure your contact information is up-to-date so we can contact and reunite you with your feline family member as soon as possible.
